That was me just a few short years ago, but with the encouragement of Chris and Sue and many other artists at Art & Heirloom, who I now call friends, I’m starting to accept the “artist” title. I always believed that wood should be painted, the beauty of Mother Nature shouldn’t be hidden. While I still won’t cover up interesting grain, I now experiment with colour and texture on plainer pieces of wood. I also add colour using broken skateboards and coloured resin.
