Mike Thain

I have been a player with, and collector of, action figures since I was a small boy.

I I have a collection of at least 200 action figures in my home and I guess this love bleeds over into my art. I love using old toys and action figures and other found pieces to create sculptures and toys with a strange, creepy, unsettling or horrifying bent. I have won, with my sculpture God, Guns and Country, both First Prize and Peoples' Choice awards at the Walkerville Artists' Collective Revitalized Sculpture Contest 2017. The following year I won second place with my sculpture, Hockey Night of the Living Dead.
