Elaine Woods

As a youngster, Elaine showed no aptitude for art but in the last 20 years, painting has become as large a part of her life and how she expresses her love of nature and the outdoors. While she has taken lessons over the years from several local artists, she has no formal education, so to some extent she guesses you could say she is self-taught. Elaine works from her own collection of photos taken over the years and while her first love is watercolour, she occasionally paints with acrylics on gallery wrapped canvas. For a number of years she participated in outdoor art shows, and now holds classes, often in her home studio, where she encourages others to fulfill their desire to create original art.
