Penelope Duchesne

She graduated as a Fashion Designer and moved to Chatham-Kent in 1995. Penelope’s passion for flowers, architecture and food reflects in her work. Her love of life, nature and beauty comes alive with each painting she creates. Her artwork is a careful testimony of the precious life cycle that revolves around her and its fragility. Penelope works with acrylics and paints on large canvases. She is self-taught and is constantly working to improve her techniques. She paints from the pictures she takes in her gardens and from her visual observations of her subjects, growing and taking care of them herself. In the future, Penelope plans on painting more florals but is also hoping to start offering limited print editions to broader audiences.
