Heather was born in St. Catharines and moved to Toronto when she was 13. She graduated from Ryerson and began teaching Business at Patterson C.I.
Heather met and married her husband there. Later, she attended the University of Windsor and received her degree in Social Science. She has 3 children of whom she is extremely proud. Jeff is Head of the Math Department at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia; Steven is Head of the Guidance Department at Eastwood Secondary in Kitchener; and Jaye a lawyer and owner of Hooper Litigation in Ottawa.
Heather has always been interested in art. After taking courses in Interior Design and Fashion Merchandising and Design, she became more interested in painting and drawing. After retiring from teaching, she had time to pursue this long-time desire. She started by taking classes and attending workshops in acrylics, and then expanded to watercolour, and ink. She enjoys all 3 mediums, and continues to work toward improving these skills.
